![]() Keep in mind that when you are travelling and you encounter a new group of enemies, the spell in this leftmost slot will be the one that is usually cast first.Ģ) Zombie or Archers or Nether Imp (archers are stationary and zombies will follow, but slowly, and imps will usually keep up with your pet) If I have enough of the following spells, I will often create this lineup (from Left to Right):ġ) Frost (slowing the enemy is always good, along with the damage it gives). I like both Frost and Fireball because they do not need large amount of mana and they have a short cooldown, so they can be cast frequently. It is not random casting, but neither is it cued by the pet's or your character's need to heal. "Heal All" is cast by your pet whenever:Ģ) Your pet has enough mana to cast the spell ![]() If there is not enough mana for a spell, the next spell on the right will be cast. Spells on your pet will be cast in the order that they are shown on the pet's spell list, from Left to Right, whenever the pet has enough mana for the spells. Then, later, I'd be suffer some miniscule amount of damage from a trap or something, and finally then my pet would suddenly decide that this was a great time to cast Heal All. I've tried this spell with pets in the past, and it didn't work well - I'd be getting my ass kicked in the middle of a fight and clinging to life by a thread.and my pet wouldn't cast Heal All. If your pet has a collar and tags that grant it lots of elemental damage, you might consider Elemental Overload, but even then I'd only use it if I couldn't find a better spell for that slot.ĪVOID! Heal All seems like a smart choice, but it sucks! The pet will randomly cast the spell whenever it feels like it.instead of when you actually need it. But, as I mentioned above, I'd choose Silence OR Nether Imp, not both. I mean, Dervish and Web can be useful, but they have really short durations so I wouldn't waste one of my pet's spell slots on either of those if you can get three good summoning spells + Frost. There are a ton of these types of spells, and they can be alright if you don't have anything better. Fireball is a good alternative.Įither way, I would pick one or the other, and save your pet's other three slots for summoning spells.or some utility spells if you don't have enough summoning spells to fill the remaining three slots. However, if your pet already has the Silence spell, then Summon Nether Imp becomes a bit redundant and you're better off using Skeletons, Archers, or Blood Zombie.įrost is great. Summon Nether Imp is good too because the imp can silence the foe it's attacking (or even groups of foes at higher levels). Coincidentally, the blood zombie doesn't suffer from the super slow speed of the regular zombies Blood zombie seems to be about as fast as the skeleton. Granted, the archers don't move at all, but they have range and they do great damage, so they are still better than the zombies that just limp along. The zombies just end up being quickly left behind, and the spell just ends up being a wasted slot, in my experience. Avoid Summon Zombies - this spell sucks because the regular zombies are so ponderously slow that the fight is usually over long before they plod into range and are close enough to do any actual damage. ![]() Summon Skeleton, Summon Archers, and Summon Blood Zombie are all great.
